The Company has many different Customer types and Customer requirements for which specific Supply Chain models have been designed with the intent to deliver the highest levels of Value and Satisfaction for these Customers. Our Business and our supply chain are global. Manufacturing occurs in different parts of the world and our Customers are mostly US based

 

The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist will manage a multi-faceted Inventory model. The customer base consists of large OEMs, large Box Retailers, On-line Sales fulfillment, Just-in-Time inventory management, Open Inventory Programs, Ship Direct to Customer, etc.

 

The Supply Chain encompasses from raw material/components to manufacturing, to multi-country logistics, to US warehouse distributions and direct to customer delivers.

 

This position will supervise a team of professionals managing each step of the supply chain. It will be this individuals responsibility to develop a platform to execute a Customer centric method of supporting clients, reporting metrics, and evaluating internal / third-party solutions for all operational functions, including sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, distributions and sales.

 

This position is required to have previous in-depth experience of Inventory process management with very strong systems and financial modeling skills. To fulfill the requirements the individual must possess a high level of detail and process control discipline. This is a customer facing role and will include the order management, inventory management, systems and process controls of multiple distribution facilities. The person will be encouraged to bring new thinking and ideas and will work closely with all business functions utilizing the Supply Chain.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete inventory process for the Group and our customers with a focus on exceptional customer service to support revenue targets.
  • Responsible for SKU assortment for customers and ensuring Product Lifecycle Management system configuration is maintained and fit for process management.
  • Maintaining order fulfillment process flow through to receipt of product
  • Daily uploading of projected sales and min-max requirements using customer portals
  • Participate on weekly calls with Product Managers and Customers to review stock positions and give guidance on replenishment planning
  • Validation of Return Materials Authorization (RMA) requests, co-ordination of product return and inventory movements
  • Accountable for inventory reconciliations and variance resolution of multiple warehouse distribution facilities
  • Analyzing activity at Product line and SKU level, reporting outliers to planned daily/weekly targets
  • Analyze data to identify current and future predictive trending for key customers
  • Develop Excess & Obsolete (E&O) and Inventory aging reports to facilitate decision making
  • Ensure all compliance documentation requirements are met to the highest standard
  • Management of order database, including approvals, reviews and completion of orders, documentation, order replenishments and order prioritization
  • Aligning with third-party logistics warehouse; creating picks, communicating customer delivery requirements, creating export documentation where needed and following up on deliveries
  • Ownership for weekly Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)/HUB Chain reporting and monthly backorder shipping and inventory reports for our manufacturing components as well as our customers recommending action when required
  • Ownership of creating and maintaining performance metrics and suite of departmental reports
  • Oversee continuous improvement in services delivered to key strategic customers
  • Constantly look to review and improve processes to ensure we work effectively and efficiently
  • Work closely with Global Planning, Logistics and Warehousing Teams
  • Demonstrate and help develop a culture of operational excellence where customer focus, process improvements and team collaboration are the priority

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A degree or major in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field/relevant experience required. An MBA or Masters in Business a plus
  • 5+ years experience managing a Supply Chain Team is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience of analyzing and reporting Inventory trends. Advanced understanding of customer services methodologies and ability to resolve customer conflicts successfully.
  • Demonstrated experience and high proficiency with financial modeling, databases and reporting tools Experience with an PLM/ERP system is essential.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and ability to build strong relationships and collaborate cross functionally with internal and external customers clearly in a global market.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential – experience in interacting with internal and external customers clearly in a global market.
  • Ability to work with a large amount of data and creatively seek information to improve processes, find solutions to business issues, and drive resolution.
  • Understanding of Lean six sigma principles/ continuous improvement mindset would be desirable.
  • Analytical thinking with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven initiative (self-starter) and responsibility demonstrated through prior work experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a global market and demonstrated ability to influence at an executive level internally and externally
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing
