Job description

  • Supervises staff to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and determining disciplinary actions when necessary; those employees over quality assurance may not directly supervise employees.
  • Manages the implementation and administration of quality programs within program guidelines; operates under general supervision, involves a single location, and receives direction on a few topics and issues.
  • Recommends programs to ensure quality products and services, such as laboratory or manufacturing operational procedures, working with functional groups to implement quality control or assurance initiatives or changes, and ensuring overall efficiency.
  • Works with suppliers, customers, or internal technical groups to review material or product specifications, resolve product or operational quality problems, and address questions and concerns.
  • Reviews a variety of reports to examine compliance, audit operations, and results of documentation, ensure operational efficiency and quality, and demonstrate compliance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Reviews and updates new materials or formulas based on operational and customer problems and suggestions, plant environment, and works with appropriate personnel to approve and implement changes.
  • Ensures compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Coordinates quality matters with other departments, locations, and divisions, including senior management.
  • Assists with reviewing and determining plant policies, procedures, and overall plant operations.

Tasks :

  • Prepare the EMEAI QRB Monthly meeting bringing all reports and data together.
  • Chair the regular Quality meetings for the assigned businesses.
  • Maintain the Regional BMS / QRB Scorecards for accuracy and consistency for designated BU.
  • Provide training on Systems and quality programs as needed.
  • Lead/participate in high and complex quality investigations.
  • Develop Operational standard operating procedures and provide training to PQMs site personnel.
  • Track the relevant daily, weekly, and monthly reports to have a proactive attitude to minimize risks and costs.
  • Work to improve Quality Control plans and test methods developing a standardization program.
  • Support Quality System rollout and the regional ISO 9001 Certification program.
  • Track specific improvement projects.
  • Carry Out Internal Audits and Support Customer Audits.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10-15 years of progressive quality control or production experience within the manufacturing industry as a production supervisor, plant chemist, or equivalent.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a bachelor s degree, Chemistry, Engineering, or Science.

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in Operations, Quality, or Technical with ISO /TS Knowledge.
  • Paint, Powder manufacture experience preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule to adapt to prioritization changes and needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team to a successful outcome.
  • Strong Presentations skills Facilitator.
  • Results oriented.
  • Program knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Minitab.
  • Demonstrated success in leading Root Cause investigations and analysis tools.
  • Previous direct customer interaction.
  • Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Knowledge of more complex problem-solving and error-proofing skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, project, and program management skills.
  • Able to work with an international team to drive improvement.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Business Knowledge - Understanding of SW s BU s, products, Operations, and processes.
  • System Knowledge - Working knowledge of the basic functions and benefits of the SW systems
  • Continuous Improvement Knowledge - Working knowledge of stats, ARC, and Lean.
  • Change Leadership - Working knowledge of change leadership skills.
  • Versatility - Culturally aware and able to adjust to different countries and regions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, and other conditions found in manufacturing and laboratory environments.
