Job description
Security -Associate Analyst:
Responsibilities:
- This role will support internal and external customers
- Operation and application of the Information Security Management System for the aligned internal business unit in accordance with published standards and policies
- Creation of monthly reporting packs for the internal business areas and external customers on the effectiveness of the ISMS, security tends, threats and risks.
- Risk governance including assuring updates, assessments, actions and mitigations are recorded and kept up to date
- Information Security Incident Investigation and Security Information & Event Management
- Management of the Security Incident stack in Service Desk system, undertaking triage of incidents, consultswith resolver groups where required; communication to Companies staff on progress and closure of incidents
- Run a monthly review of security incident management looking at trends, risks, opportunities for improvement
- Maintaining the reporting dashboard for security incident management
- Provide vulnerability reporting information to the business, including tracking, remediation, trends, maintain security dashboards
- Contributes to operational IT processes such as Change Management for security-related matters as required
- Assists in collating evidence for internal and external audits
- Carries out regular reviews of privileged accounts and access rights of Companies corporate User Accounts and Service Accounts
- Spot tests of the efficiency of the account management within the joiners/movers/leavers process
- Contributes to and assists in the reviews of Information Security processes being run and to assure the effectiveness of the process.
- Responsible for hosting and collating the data to present at monthly Security Incident Management Reviews, reporting on trends, recording actions and linking back into awareness program, risks or audit team as required.
- Reviews audit findings to ensure actions are being followed up on and completed.
- Works with Security process Owner to identify improvements for all security processes.
- Undertakes a monthly review of all SIPS to ensure progress is being made on actions recorded.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel including macros and formulas
- Working towards professional examination such as CISMP , Security +
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 27001)
- Knowledge of legislative & regulatory requirements including GDPR and PCI-DSS
Education/professional qualification
- Degree or equivalent education
- Minimum of 1-2- years IT experience with a basic understanding of IT technologies
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Awareness of ITIL Foundation
- Ability to review technical or procedural documents or process outputs to assure defined requirements have been fulfilled
