Synopsys, a world leader in the Semiconductor IP industry, is seeking a Quality Audit Engineer whose primary mandate is to audit IP development programs and IP product deliverables to ensure the products comply with both Synopsys Quality Management System and any uniquely defined requirements. The role may include some scripting and/or methodology development to aid in report generation and workflow automation. This position will work globally with internal teams to ensure conformance to product, customer, quality, and reliability requirements.

There will be some domestic and international travel required.

Responsibilities

• Understand Synopsys development flows and Quality Management System
• Understand unique product or customer requirements
• Perform conformance audits on the approval flows and work flows followed by the product teams
• Perform conformance audits on the reports and checklists produced by the product teams
• Perform conformance audits on the products produced by the product teams
• Analyze evaluation data and produce reports including automation tasks
• Provide constructive feedback from quality audits about non-conformances and opportunities for improvement
• Contribute to the definition, generation, and monitoring of quality metrics
• May contribute to 8D / 5-Whys analysis and reviews
• May support 2nd party / 3rd party audits of Synopsys Quality Management System
• Monitor the effectiveness of Synopsys’ Quality Management System
• Contribute to the continual improvement of Synopsys’ Quality Management System
• Other related tasks as may be defined

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering or Computer Science with ~4 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or an equivalent Quality Management System
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is an advantage
• Knowledge of semiconductor development flows is an advantage
• Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of office productivity programs such as Microsoft Office or equivalent
• Highly proficient in English
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team, with many remote members across different time zones
• Basic coding skills with at least one language such as C, Perl, Python, Unix shell scripting, etc. is an advantage
