Senior Specialist I - System Engineering

Job Description

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Support Complaints team and Install Base support team with investigation & root cause analysis for defects and field complaints;
Develop functional requirements for the HOST subsystem based on decomposition of system level requirements.
Interface to the Platform (segment) core-team for feature definition, interface definition with other subsystems.
Bridge between the clinical science function that defines the workflow and the HOST Subsystem team by translating clinical needs into subsystem requirements and work-packages.
Drive prototyping / concept development for new features / functionality working with platform (Systems Engineering, Clinical Science, Physics & Marketing) team.
Provide inputs to HOST Roadmap
Conduct impact analysis for RFCs,Anomalies in owned feature areas
Support development team in feature realization & Project manager / integrator in execution & feature integration
Support verification by reviewing test plan (scoping), test protocols and test results
Perform requirement analysis for owned feature/ program & provide high-level design
Support project management in estimation, planning, risk management and execution of the work-packages.
Responsible for the design meeting the feature requirements
Identify & drive design FMEA for owned feature
Ensure that performance / non-functional requirements are defined and addressed by teams
Mentor the junior members of the team on technical aspects
Performs the role of a specialist by reviewing work products
Manages technical communication with suppliers and stakeholders
Participates in defining and optimizing WoW with cross-functional teams within the global CT R&D organization.

Role Competency:

Good knowledge of medical software and imaging with Xray and CT background being preferable
Hands on knowledge on SW Application development and requirements management.
Good communication skills. Ability to present technical / complex issues to various audiences.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Proven technical leadership in matrix / global environment
Ability to influence peers and counterparts often in remote locations
Strong abstraction, analytical and problem solving skills
Expertise in object oriented design concepts and interface design.
Exposure to healthcare standards (DICOM,HL7 & IHE) and regulations.
Exposure to SDLC Phases and SW quality standards and processes (Six-sigma).

Specific hands-on knowledge of CT-AMI Philips products will be preferred given the role expectation for Complaints and IB support.
