• Purpose & Accountabilities :
  
  Project Manager within Project & Technology (PTIT) working in Technology, Dev & Wells Project Delivery group in the Global Labs work steam reporting to the Catalysis IT Program Manager.
  Primary responsibility of the Project Manager will be to manage projects ranging in size ($0.5M -$2M) and high to medium level of complexity and risk across all stages of the project life-cycle.
  Using the standard Delivery Framework along with OneIT standard processes, the project manager will be expected to deliver projects on time, within the approved budget, and within the agreed scope, ensuring solutions meet business and nonfunctional requirements and are compliant with Architecture, legal and Supportability standards.
  Responsible for the execution of all activities and successful delivery and deployment of the project, such that the business objectives are met.
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations.
  Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks. Adjust as necessary. Manage change requests and escalate accordingly.
  Define and manage the activities to ensure achievement of the benefits described in the business case.
  Provide effective leadership to project team ensuring team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Allocate and monitor team member tasks, motivate staff and appraise individual performance.
  Ensure that there is a business perspective on how the new capabilities will be delivered to the business and ensure that all necessary business change activities are successfully implemented to ensure overall project success and embedding of the business solution.
  Fully comply with and adhere to all Shell IT standards.
  Manage relationships with all suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor their progress and adherence to the contract.
  Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members. Obtain buy-in from senior management for all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, quality assurance plans, budget, schedule, and scope changes.
  Ensure that all governance bodies (e.g. project steering committee) are effective, with correct representation and are well informed through high quality status reports and regular meetings.
  Use Lead supplier in the resourcing strategy for the projects and have a rational ratio for offshoring vs. onshore project resources.
  Contribute to and take responsibility for initiatives that develop and improve project delivery excellence.
  Having Agile experience is mandatory
  Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.
  Ensure appropriate stakeholder change and communication plans and engagements are developed and executed.
  Partner with business stakeholders to validate the strategic business case, define success metrics and criteria.
  Proactively engage with stakeholders to identify and analyze potential risk scenarios, plan risk responses and mitigating actions/owners, and monitor/control risks.
  Apply Shell project management and IT control/assurance methodologies, standards and processes including architecture, information risk management, and transition to support.
  Create a high-performing team through team building, information sharing, workload management, and appropriate recognition. Develop the skills of team members through coaching and delegation.
