Job description
- To play an integral role in the company s strategic direction, development and further growth.
- Establish and maintain a quality control program with procedures that ensure reliability and verification.
- Continuously upgrade and development of quality control programs, complete with documentation.
- Participate in and support corrective actions associated with out-of-control conditions and other problems as found by the Quality Supervisor/Engineer and Quality Inspectors.
- Report quality problems, processing problems and control concerns.
- Maintain adequate gauges and lab testing devices and/or equipment to measure and test the part. Ensure that gauges meet calibration requirements.
- Train all appropriate personnel in the statistical process control program, methods, and procedures. Inspection and data collection techniques communicated for plant-wide monitoring and control critical to process control.
- Maintain the data and/or document to substantiate the reliability/verifiability of the statistical process control program and results.
- Oversee the performance of and prepare PPAP documentation.
- Maintain communications with Engineering Manager, Engineering Department and Production Department to produce a team effort.
- Oversee the Development/Instrumentation of the laboratory operation.
- Control of Quality Assurance Program and data to support product reliability.
- Oversee the Supplier Quality Program including the Supplier Quality Rating System.
- Participation in APQP and Product Realization activities.
- Support the Quality Inspectors in the absence of the Quality Supervisor/Engineer.
- Respond to an issue appropriate response to, and resolution of, all customer quality complaints. This will include appropriate containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Create an ecosystem to improve product quality sensitivity towards maintaining high quality standards through use of 7QC tools, SPC, Six Sigma and Kaizen.
- Head the development implementation initiative for improving the quality standards of organization and effective implementation of management systems viz., QMS, TQM, PSMS
- Extensive knowledge of SPC, APQP, Quality Management System standards, and GD T.
- Experience with TS-16949.
- Overall responsibility for the satisfactory operation of the production process, Quality Assurance, Environment and Safety systems.
- Formulate Vision, Mission, IMS policy, Objectives, Targets, Performance indicators, and IMS manual.
- Project approval for manufacturing of new products/ localization of products.
- Overall responsibility of providing resources for the performance of the unit.
- Approval of contract review for new products as well as the existing products.
- Establish Technical standards and ensure adherence for product development and company operations.
- Customer interaction and performance monitoring by delivery and quality PPM through GQI.
- Driving the productivity projects and achieve annual savings as per the operating plan.
- Ensure Zero - Accidents, LTIR, TRIR
- Induct talent into the organization including competency building.
