About the role

The Manager - Quality (SCM) would be responsible for executing strategic quality initiatives that drives organization growth, enhances workforce capability and demonstrates breakthrough & continual improvements

What you will do

  1. Deploy Quality initiatives across the organization that enables achievement of business objectives and drives growth
  2. Work across organizations’ functions (Operations, Process Design, HR, Technology etc.) and establish Quality and reliability standards for all key processes and activities
  3. Supplier Quality Management including Supplier Technical Support for Quality improvement
  4. Deploy Quality Assurance processes through QC personnel in multiple locations
  5. Monitor and ensure adherence to the defined standards across all levels
  6. Develop systems to monitor and measure performance against defined benchmarks
  7. Establish a system to promote awareness of Critical to Quality issues and Customer Escalations across all departments and lead deployment of effective corrective measures
  8. Identify opportunities and drive focused improvement initiatives to enhance Customer Satisfaction, Performance of Internal Operations and Capability of People
  9. Lead & manage the Quality team operations and deliver results against targets within allocated budgets

What youll need

  1. B.E./B.Tech in any field; Post Graduation not mandatory
  2. Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in applying Quality Management principles across Service / Production / Distribution and Supply Chain industries
  3. Well versed with concepts, tools and applications of Management Systems, Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints etc.
  4. Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt with project experience
  5. Certified Lead Auditor for Management Systems (Quality / Environment, Health & Safety / Information Security / Business Continuity etc.)

Key Skills Required:

  1. Strong Management Skills with ability to lead teams and deliver the desired results
  2. Must have proven track record of handling Quality Functions, Program Quality, Purchasing and Customer Quality Management
  3. Manpower planning, PMS, Career Development, Succession Planning at all levels with the support of HR function
  4. Good knowledge of deploying Lean, Six Sigma, use of Statistical Tools, FMEA, Control Plans etc.
  5. Ability to Influence and get Buy-In from Senior Management for driving Quality initiatives
  6. Excellent Communication and Presentation skills; Should be able to present facts, analysis, and conclusions or solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content
  7. Ability to lead and conduct training programs for diverse set of people across all levels in the organizationb.t
