About the role
The Manager - Quality (SCM) would be responsible for executing strategic quality initiatives that drives organization growth, enhances workforce capability and demonstrates breakthrough & continual improvements
What you will do
- Deploy Quality initiatives across the organization that enables achievement of business objectives and drives growth
- Work across organizations’ functions (Operations, Process Design, HR, Technology etc.) and establish Quality and reliability standards for all key processes and activities
- Supplier Quality Management including Supplier Technical Support for Quality improvement
- Deploy Quality Assurance processes through QC personnel in multiple locations
- Monitor and ensure adherence to the defined standards across all levels
- Develop systems to monitor and measure performance against defined benchmarks
- Establish a system to promote awareness of Critical to Quality issues and Customer Escalations across all departments and lead deployment of effective corrective measures
- Identify opportunities and drive focused improvement initiatives to enhance Customer Satisfaction, Performance of Internal Operations and Capability of People
- Lead & manage the Quality team operations and deliver results against targets within allocated budgets
What youll need
- B.E./B.Tech in any field; Post Graduation not mandatory
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in applying Quality Management principles across Service / Production / Distribution and Supply Chain industries
- Well versed with concepts, tools and applications of Management Systems, Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints etc.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt with project experience
- Certified Lead Auditor for Management Systems (Quality / Environment, Health & Safety / Information Security / Business Continuity etc.)
Key Skills Required:
- Strong Management Skills with ability to lead teams and deliver the desired results
- Must have proven track record of handling Quality Functions, Program Quality, Purchasing and Customer Quality Management
- Manpower planning, PMS, Career Development, Succession Planning at all levels with the support of HR function
- Good knowledge of deploying Lean, Six Sigma, use of Statistical Tools, FMEA, Control Plans etc.
- Ability to Influence and get Buy-In from Senior Management for driving Quality initiatives
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills; Should be able to present facts, analysis, and conclusions or solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content
- Ability to lead and conduct training programs for diverse set of people across all levels in the organizationb.t
