General Manager - Quality - Manufacturing

We are currently looking for a General Manager-Quality for one of the top Engineering cos in India. The position is to be based at Hyderabad.

Job Profile:

- Responsible to provide inputs to quality systems and practices across all the units

- Ensure that the capabilities needed to meet objectives in capacity, technology, automation, process analytical technology, product quality, efficiency improvement, and infrastructure improvement are identified and appropriately established

- Define quality systems and processes across all manufacturing locations and ensure implementation thru- plant managers

- Responsible for formulating qualitative requirements, technical specifications, techno-commercial evaluations, establishing benchmark costs, documentation, processing necessary approvals along with execution/management

- Define organization structure and budgets for quality function and collaborate with manufacturing heads in implementation and monitoring

- SPOC for all external agencies related to quality and certifications

- Set up internal audit systems and provide leadership for in-process quality audit teams at plants

- Be part of the initial technical feasibility study and approval process

- Supplier qualification for development parts

- Be the SPOC for customer complaints and ensure redressal thru- plant quality and operations

- Responsible customer / external audits and compliance across locations

- Build quality oriented culture thru- implementation of various quality systems

- Responsible for employee training on quality systems

- Collaborate with HR in manpower planning, recruitment and identifying training needs of a team

- Identify, groom, reward and develop high performers and future leaders
