Job Description
Role of BI DB Specialist/ Manager:
The Business Intelligence & Database Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the database infrastructure and BI systems for Client Operations through SQL & Qlikview. Most of the BI Specialists time will be spent on ensure the apt functioning of the SQL Server and Qlikview backend infrastructure. To support the AVP with preparing roadmaps for effective Data Warehousing, overlooking the BI delivery, strengthening the Business Metrics across multiple locations / functions globally and supporting various GBM level initiatives from MI perspective.
Experience & Skill Required:
1. Minimum 7+ years of experience in the relevant area along with a good SQL, SSRS and SSIS experience is mandatory
2. Excellent interpersonal Skills with proven IT project management skills required for running the business effectively.
3. Experience in BPR (Business Process Reengineering) / Management.
4. Delivery-focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality
5. Ability to design and lead the team managing critical data warehousing projects
6. Experience in Data Architecture, and Data Warehouse construction using the SQL server
7. Exposure to quality/productivity enhancing tools and techniques - Lean, Six Sigma (Green belt certified, Black belt trained)
8. Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, third party consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users
9. Experience with Python and R a plus
10. Experience with Qlikview and NPrinting a plus
