Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Training Program

Advance Innovation Group offers comprehensive training and certification in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), a holistic approach to equipment maintenance aimed at achieving flawless production with zero defects, zero failures, and zero downtime. TPM also fosters a safe work environment with a commitment to zero accidents. TPM shifts the responsibility for routine maintenance to employees, empowering them to take ownership of equipment reliability. This methodology is built on eight foundational pillars, each designed to eliminate waste and losses systematically.

Objectives of TPM:

  1. Transform organizational culture by developing both human resources and plant equipment.

  2. Create a clean, safe, and pleasant working environment.

  3. Strengthen people and facilities, resulting in a more vibrant and productive organization.

  4. Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  5. Promote cross-functional collaboration by breaking down departmental silos.

  6. Enable autonomous (“man-less”) factory operations.

  7. Support Lean Production and Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing.

TPM identifies various types of waste (muda), such as setup and changeover delays, equipment breakdowns, idling, minor stoppages, speed losses, startup quality losses, and in-process defects. It applies continuous improvement (kaizen) techniques to systematically eliminate these wastes.

Measuring TPM Success

A key performance metric used in TPM is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), which evaluates how efficiently equipment is utilized. For advanced practitioners, OEE data can be integrated into Target Costing Management (TCM) to translate improvements into cost benefits.
