ISO 45001:2018 is a requirement standard published by ISO (International Organization for Standardization). It contains 10 clauses and clause number 4 from 10 are requirements and are auditable.
ISO 45001:2018 is an international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Through the ISO 45001 consultation, Advance Innovation Group (AIG) helps organizations to setup a framework for organizations so that they can manage and continually improve their Occupational Health and Safety Performance. It also helps organizations to identify and manage health and safety risks as well as we aim to reduce workplace accidents and illness, and continually improve OHAS performance.
ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization. Established in 1946, ISO is the world’s largest publisher of volunteer standards. As of March 2024, ISO has published over 25000 standards. These standards are about managing an organization, setting quality standards, business continuity, information security and many more. ISO has a membership of 170 nations which makes these standards worldwide acceptable.
ISO has established a High-Level Structure or HLS used in ISO 45001:2018 as well as other requirement standards published by them. This results in easier integration when an organization decides to implement and manage multiple standards at once.

We have a systemic approach when it comes to ISO 45001 consulting. For over a decade we have helped countless organizations to establish Occupational Health and Safety Management System in their organization and help them maintain it as well as maintain their OHAS certification status.
As a first, we conduct a gap analysis which results in a gap analysis report that showcases the current status of the organization. This helps us gauge the current information security posture of the organization. Based on this we devise further plans for the implementation of ISO 45001:2018.
As a next step we need input from our client, that list of employees from various departments who will undergo the training to become ‘competent’ on ISO 14001 implementation and then we will assess them to understand how well they understand ISO 45001. AIG is responsible for training the team on ISO 45001:2018, as well as conducting their assessment as required by ISO.

Then AIG’s consultant along with your OHAS team will work together to establish ISO 45001:2018 controls, policies, and procedures that meet your organization’s own Occupational Health and Safety Management System’s requirements. And AIG will also help in its implementation.
Once this is done, we will also conduct, internal audits for ISO 45001:2018, to identify the gaps and non-conformity concerning ISO 45001:2018 standards & help close loop it so that your organization is ready for external audit which will finally result in ISO 45001:2018 certificate of the organization.
Getting certified for ISO 45001:2018 is not the end of the road, once certified organizations need to maintain the certificate. For this, they need to continually improve their management systems by conducting regular audits. ISO requires at least one internal audit each year. And focus on continual improvement.
ISO 45001:2018’s certificate is valid for 3 years. After a span of 3 years, it needs to get itself recertified by an external certification body.
