Once certified, an organization needs to get itself recertified every 3 years to confirm that the organization’s EMS (Environmental Management System) still holds up to the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 and it also focuses on continual improvement as well as well as conduct at least 1 surveillance audit per year.
The answer is pretty simple, ISO’s certificate is valid for a period of 3 years, and having a valid certificate for ISO 14001:2015 demonstrates your commitment to the environment, and in many cases, it can be a requirement for some contracts or customer specifications.
