Statistics 101: Confidence Intervals for the Variance

In this video we begin to make inferences about variances; more specifically how to formulate confidence intervals for the population variance using the chi-square distribution. We learn the conceptual background and then do an example where we compare the variance confidence intervals for stock return data (GE and AAPL). Finally we talk about a few general princples underlying the topic. Enjoy!
