Training:
1. Why should I go
for Six Sigma
Six Sigma Certification is becoming an expectation in the business world.
According to the survey conducted in Cleveland Employers started preferring Six
Sigma over MBA. This discipline was developed as a systematic way to improve
quality, but the reason it caught fire was its effectiveness in cutting costs
and improving profitability. According to the American Society for Quality, 82
of the 100 largest companies in the U.S. have embraced it. And thats quickly
trickling down: Six Sigma consultants are as busy as ever as the
quality-improvement system migrates from its traditional focus on U.S.
manufacturing companies to the financial-services industry and abroad. In
recent years, companies as varied as DuPont (DD ), Textron (TXT ), Bank of
America (BAC ), and Sun Microsystems (SUNW ) have all made Six Sigma bedrocks
of their culture. Hybrid formulas have spawned, such as Lean Six Sigma and
Design for Six Sigma.
2. Why should I go
for ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 is a quality management standard. It applies to all types of
organizations. It does not matter what size they are or what they do. It can
help both product and service oriented organizations achieve standards of
quality that are recognized and respected throughout the world.
Training in ISO 9001 will certify you as a lead auditor paving your career path
as internal auditor or Lead auditor.
3. What is the difference between internal quality auditor
and QMS Lead Auditor?
Internal Quality auditor can be defined as an individual within the organization
that audits his or her own company to determine the effectiveness of its
quality system.
Lead Auditor is an individual who is certified by organizations that have requisite authority to do so. It is governed by Quality Council of India or IRCA. The Lead auditor certification is a universally accepted certification and such certified individuals are authorized to conduct expernal audits as well.
4. How is sigma different from other quality related &
Management courses?
Unlike other quality control and management system, data driven approach of Six
Sigma establishes a direct connection to the financial gains arising out of the
processes implemented. Financial gains arising out of the improvements in the
process are measured and quantified and are useful in selection and
prioritization of the ongoing projects of process improvement. The financial
gains are evaluated periodically during the analysis phase which must ensure
that the costs involved in the implementation of the improvement will be paid off
by the gains received from the improvements in the long run
5. Why should I pay for these courses when a lot of study
material is available online for free?
Fee paid for knowledge enhancement is a kind of investment as its output is
reaped in longer run. Theory classes with practical insight at Advance
Innovation Group are unmatchable. Online free study material does not equip you
to meet face the challenges of a live environment. Moreover you do not receive
any certificate that ensures that you have fulfilled all the mandates of that
particular course.
6. What will be my career path if I opt for either of these
courses?
These courses focus on process of an organization and its improvement. Hence
the job profile primarily falls under the umbrella of Quality. Hence there lies
an opportunity to be a part Quality Assurance, Process Improvement etc.
7. Should I go for only one course or a portfolio is
required?
Job market is dynamic; let's suppose you join an organization with a
certification or skill set. After a period of time job requirement changes or
gets enhanced but your resume remains static. Due to this not only
promotion/growth but matching current job expectation becomes difficult.
8. I am a working professional and it is difficult to
manage time on weekdays, how will AIG facilitate in this regard.
It is a known fact that working individuals cannot manage time during weekdays
hence they are given an option of weekend classes. Currently this facility is
available at Noida center only.
9. I did a green belt certification from one of the premier
institutes but did not get any assistance for job and projects after course
completion.
Unlike other institutes we understand the requirement of those who are not a
part of six sigma profile of an organization. We not only make you equipped
with theoretical aspect of the subject but provide a through practical insight
so that when you get into a live environment, it becomes easier to adapt.
To cater Job related needs, in depth subject knowledge and practical insight
almost caters majority of job related needs. To add to it we have a feature in
our web site Job Opening that is being updated with latest job openings.
10. I am working with a BPO for last 2 years & want to
get into migrations, can you please help?
Migration in IT & ITES is primarily about transfer of knowledge and work
from one place to another. It's a strategic task & involves designing of
processes, SOP, work instruction, process mapping etc. This profile demands
following skills:
Strong analytical skills
Effective communication
Client Management
Change Management
Project Management
All these form a part of Six Sigma methodology hence most of the job openings
related to migration, consulting, advisory etc have Six Sigma certification as
a prime requirement.
11. I am working in a technical domain but not happy with
the kind of growth I am being offered so what should I do?
Growth is a consequence of education, skill, experience & performance &
is primarily indicated with promotion or monetary hike in pay. Quite often we
get into a comfort zone and then start complaining about the environment. But
if we try and be honest to ourselves we have not made ourselves competent enough
to climb the ladder of success.
For technical field there are courses pertaining to Information Security &
testing that are in demand.
12. I am in this job for last 3 years but I am not able to
get a new job with higher package, what should I do?
Everyone has his/her own career preferences and based on them the career path
is shaped. Our domain expertise is Quality, Process Improvement & testing
so if you are in similar profile or planning to move to a similar role, we
would be privileged to help you & direct you to the success route.
13. I have already done MBA so how will Six Sigma
facilitate me in my career path.
A recent survey conducted via e-mail in Cleveland USA revealed that Six Sigma
has become a preferred course than MBA. The question asked to the employers
was, if work experience being equal, would you prefer to hire someone with an
MBA or a Six Sigma Black Belt. Out of 186 respondents, 86.56% employers
preferred Six Sigma Black belt over an MBA. Perhaps it is the knowledge of the
Six Sigma Methodology that could help their company cut out excess processes
and costs.
14. What can Green Belt Six Sigma Training do for my
business?
Fortune Magazine - January 11, 2007- Six Sigma immediately saves Fortune 500
companies a total of $427 Billion yearly. If you have a smaller volume the
impact can be just as devastating. "Tightening up" your company with
statistical processing could be the difference between bankruptcy and success.
More proof - General Electric saved $2 Billion in 1999 alone solely through
implementing Six Sigma. You can reduce the cycle time of your projects
significantly and more importantly, immediately.
